This flagship course is the only EDI course designed specifically for speakers of English as a second language that carries CPD Accreditation by the CPD Standards Authority.

This is a 14 hour course that can be studied at the participant’s own pace and is ideal for B1-B2 speakers of English who want to progress into, or are seeking promotion in any Public Service role, such as HR, policy-making or Human Rights and EDI.

You will cover up-to-date equality, diversity and inclusion best practice, all protected characteristics as well as discuss how intersectionality is accommodated in the Equality Act 2010. This course allows time for deeper study of academic commentary, includes real-life case studies, critical analysis and more. It includes tuition on relevant grammar structures and high-level vocabulary with practice across reading, writing, listening and speaking. You also have plenty of 1:1 tuition throughout the modules and a complimentary course book for every participant.

You will receive 14 CPD points on completion of this course which can be used to evidence your successful continued professional development.

The Modern Practitioner

Experienced EDI practitioners deliver two full days of Live input which include interactive workshops and a deep dive into the legislative frameworks and caselaw that has emerged since the 1960’s. There will be a living project that will serve to enhance future policy and implementation. We reinforce core concepts, provide formative feedback, and foster sustained learner engagement.

We provide modelling for Equality Impact Assessments (EQIAs) which will guide existing and future staff.

The course is delivered over 2 days within a 12 week period to allow time for reflection and implementation of your stakeholder input. We cover the historical iterations of policy underpinned by evolving legislation to give your team the fullest understanding of the role of equality, diversity and inclusion in the modern workplace and how to over-achieve in policy creation when considering business stakeholders.

Each programme is suitable for up to 12 participants. Every participant receives a complimentary workbook, access to extended academic resources via our website, and the opportunity to share their lived experience with our Subject Matter Expert EDI Scrutiny Panel. This independent panel rigorously examines existing EDI policies, comparing them against real-world lived experiences to test how effectively they perform in practice.

Organisations that consent to submit their case studies will gain enhanced visibility for their efforts. We proudly showcase and promote participating companies on our website, recognising their genuine commitment to driving meaningful and evidence-based EDI policy creation.
