English for Law Enforcement

£1,750.00

English for Law Enforcement is a specialist CPD ENGLISH programme designed to strengthen the professional communication of PCSO’s, staff and officers while supporting better outcomes for Black and ethnic minority communities. It focuses on real‑world language for community cohesion, engagement and problem‑solving, helping participants communicate clearly, fairly and confidently in everyday encounters with diverse communities and critical incidents alike.

Grounded in the NPCC/CofP Police Race Action Plan, the course develops the English needed to explain decisions, record and justify actions, and work transparently with communities and partners across communities, policing and the wider criminal justice system. Through practical scenarios, structured language tasks and targeted feedback, participants build the spoken and written skills that underpin ethical policing, effective engagement and improved trust and confidence.

Suitable for native and B2-C1 speakers of English. Maximum 15 participants, delivered over 6 weeks with 1 hour weekly remote or physical sessions with ongoing LIVE support plus an opportunity to engage with and influence the CPD Advisory Board to encourage better community leadership and increase diverse engagement with your force.
